Couvrir: cover, cover up, coat, shield, wrap. Identity in the LGBTQ community is different for each individual. Each person has their own story, their own pain, and their own secrets. To cover ourselves with this sheet is to hide from our true selves. To wrap ourselves, is to shield us from hate, discrimination, or fear of the truth. To hold on to like a leash, is to liberate ourselves from this pain. Coming out as gay, trans, or queer, etc. can lead to different chapters in the book of our lives. Whether we chose to hold on to, let go of, or cover these chapters, is our choice. These are the illustrated story
